

ABOUT ALLEN
Dr. Allen H. Simmons II is an educator, author, and team player striving to help citizens in his community. As a former employee with Junior Achievement of New Jersey serving as the Vice President of Education and Partnerships working with school districts across the state of New Jersey in public education for grades K-12, he recently transitioned as the Founder and CEO of Beth-El Academy educating students with special needs in Jersey City, NJ. Dr. Simmons is also an adjunct professor of sociology at Saint Peter’s University, working with students from diverse backgrounds in higher education. He is an active member of the Sounds of Praise International Fellowship Ministries Inc. serving as the National Director of Education for all churches in the organization.
Dr. Simmons consistently shows himself to be a team player and leader while working with others in every capacity. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he excelled receiving numerous awards. After his obligation to the Navy, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political science along with a minor in Sociology from the University of South Carolina. Afterwards, he obtained a master’s degree in public administration, then earned his doctoral degree in Education at Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ
Dr. Simmons is a spirited community organizer, public speaker, social activist, entrepreneur, and the author of his newly published book entitled “The Sticky Bottom and Living Just Above Broke: How America Neglects its most Valuable Resource.” Presently, Dr. Simmons is working on the completion of his second book as he seeks to inspire and motivate individuals towards a brighter future. Dr. Simmons enjoys reading, playing the piano, visiting museums, traveling, and exercising. He is the proud father of three children, Isaiah, Elijiah, and Naomi Simmons.
